Core Belief
Antonio V. Glassberg provided for this foundation shortly before he died in 2001 when he was 23 years old. Antonio saw the potential in bright young students and was compelled to leave a legacy of action to help them capitalize on their abilities despite their physical and financial limitations.
Our Board shares Antonio’s core belief that a young person’s physical and financial hardships should not be impediments to gaining access to excellence in education.
Mission
Goal
We will empower and enable Antonio V. Glassberg scholarship recipients to reach their fullest individual potential – academically, emotionally, and socially – by providing our grantees the opportunity and the impetus to attend K thru 12 private schools in the United States that will provide the most hospitable environment to optimize their growth.
Strategy
We encourage physically challenged students who are motivated to attend private schools and who need financial aid to do so, or their parents or guardians, to contact us directly via the “Contact Us” page on this website.
We are active in the adaptive sports community and have ties with many organizations that help us get out the word of our mission and the availability of our scholarships. We are open to forming collaborative relationships with additional organizations that serve the physically challenged community, and we encourage them to contact us.
We have established relationships with selected private schools of excellence that can count on our serious consideration of support for physically challenged students whom they enroll, and we encourage other private schools interested in a partnering relationship to contact us.
